Alberta Street Market: Crispy Chicken Wings and Jojos in Portland

This is hands down the best fried chicken I have ever had! Perfectly seasoned, juicy, and the best sauce this side of portland! Amazing staff, absolutely the nicest people you will meet! They always hook it up! Love love love this spot!

Went to Alberta Market after hearing the hype about it on Facebook. The staff were friendly and provided fast service. The chicken looked cooked well and it smelled good. The chicken tastes as good as it looks. I found it to be a bit pricey at $25 for $15 wings, but well worth it as you get the whole wing. I’ll definitely visit again.

Wow… wow, wow, wow. This turned out to be better than I thought. 12 whole wings for $19! So tasty, so juicy, so fulfilling.

I thought I've reviewed this establishment before, but I couldn't find it, so here we go. This place some of the best fried chicken wings in the area, I would say definitely in the top 3 of our favorites fried chicken wings. Whenever we visited Alberta neighborhood, there is a high likelihood that we come for a visit just for the chicken wings. The chicken wings are so tasty with a lot of spice but not spicy like a hot chicken, reminds me of some of the fried chicken from south east Asia (think of Laos, Burmese, Myanmar fried chicken) even though it is clearly a southern style fried chicken wings. We observed that people sometimes bought a whole tray of this tasty chicken wings. As somewhat a regular (more like a monthly visitor), their service was pretty good. The lady was nice and kind, even we often received bonus pieces (thanks ma'am!). They do not sell the chicken 24 hours, I believe they stop frying chicken around 6pm and will sell until everything sold out, but check directly with them. Enjoy!

The food was amazing here! The chicken is so flavorful and well seasoned. The funny thing is that they literally had to refill the case! So great and so sad we don’t live nearby! 5/5 Stars.

Cashier was really cool and friendly. : ) Snacks were a bit too expensive for me but at least they are clearly labeled with price so you know what you're getting into and beers were all a good or decent price which is what I went in for anyway. Most importantly they let you use the bathroom which is a flippin' miracle in Portland hahah.

Quit playing with their name! If you have 10-15$ you have a BAG of chicken and a couple drinks. Mojos (potato wedges) are cool too, I just don’t waste room on anything except chicken. One day you’ll learn just dump some hot sauce in the bag and shake it up at little bit. Extra napkins for sure. Only had to wait around for my order 1 time and it came out better than I’ve ever had it.
